Best Baby Clothes Shops For Boys
If there’s one question I’m asked nearly every single day on Instagram, it’s where I shop for Otis. I mean, a 6 month old who has a way better wardrobe than myself and Tim will ever have - he doesn’t even know he’s born if you ask me!
And so, I thought that I’d pop together a list of where I love to buy his clothes from which is a mixture of independent shops and high street. I did write a post on my favourite baby shops whilst I was pregnant, which is more generic and includes things like bedding, wooden toys and rockers etc, but today I’ve delved into his drawers of jumpers, tees, leggings and sleepsuits and complied our top places. Happy shopping!
ORGANIC ZOO
HUGE fan of Organic Zoo I bought Otis some Colours of the Moon leggings before he was born and with him only just growing out of the first size, I couldn’t resist nabbing the next size up. After all if it works then why not order it in every size?! We’ve also got some of their adorable sweaters (which last!) and had a few of their sleepsuits when he was a teeny one. I’ve found the quality lasts after washing, it feels soft on him and he looks like such a cool little bean. It’s a win.
MONSIEUR MINI
Love croissants? Then you’ll love Monsieur Mini! The first piece of item I actually bought was their signature croissant bodysuit and still now it’s one of my favourite pieces of clothing (so much so that it’s absolutely getting stashed away for future!). They have the sweetest collections and a huge selection of neutral tones perfect for all ages.
ANOTHER FOX
We have a few sleepsuits from Another Fox and I love them. Personally, whilst some people don’t like sleepsuits without the feet, I find that we actually get longer wear out of sleepsuits that are footless. There’s always extra fabric around the waist, so they tend to last us at least another 2-3 months outside of his age (although we do have a short-legged baby!).
TOBIAS AND THE BEAR
Tobias and the Bear have some really sweet prints (we’ve the fox and some of the Miffy leggings) and find the quality great. I’ve actually ordered him a few of the jumpers and tops because I also love the unisex colours which we’re always on the lookout for!
BABY MORI
If you speak to any parent they’ll always tell you that zip sleepsuits are the best. Granted that’s true (although it doesn’t really bother us if they’re poppers) and so Baby Mori are your place for just that! I’ve bought leggings and jumpers from them too, although I do find their sizing a little on the smaller side so I tend to size up but I will say that it’s some of the softest fabric I’ve come across!
ANDO STORES
If you’re wanting to fall into a very lovely shopping hole, then Ando Stores is the place for that. There’s not a time that goes by that my basket doesn’t have something in. Again, they’ve got endless neutral tones, with soft knits, cosy sets and the sweetest little rompers that would make gorgeous gifts. There’s also things for you - so that’s even more of a delight!
ELLIE & LION
I’d bought a few Ellie & Lion sleepsuits for Otis and when he was growing out of those, I knew I wanted more. They’re zip ones aswell which as I mentioned, are many parents kinda sleepsuits and their patterns are pretty cool too. They also have some adorable sweaters, tees and shorts!
TINY COTTONS
For the epitome of cool, Tiny Cottons is just that. I love their bodysuits are fun and to be seen, and their sweaters make me want to own every single one. Everything is playful, it’s comforting and it’s also very well made so there’s nothing not to love.
WEXBABY
Quite possibly the nicest and softest ever white top that I’ve bought Otis is a Wex Baby one. I originally bought the ‘Wash Your Hands’ style purely thinking it was relevant with the pandemic and have come to love the quality so much that I’ve ordered a few others. Their jumpers also look so cosy too, and when there’s matching adults - you know it’s a match made in heaven.
LITTLE WOODLANDS
Little Woodlands are a British sleepwear company who sell the sweetest little sleepsuits and blankets. The first piece of clothing Otis ever wore was the Sleepy Fox sleepsuit which I loved for its contrasting yellow feet, and you bet that I always put him in it whenever someone new met him!
DAWN & DAY
Oh another special outfit to remember was Otis’ going home outfit from Dawn & Day. I vividly remember the Bonjour Little Tonka sleepsuit arriving in the post and feeling so overwhelmed with how tiny it was, that I couldn’t fathom how I’d ever keep a baby that small alive. It served us so well in those first two months and I was definitely v v sad when it was time to pack it away.
CISSY WEARS
I used to love pottering around Cissy Wears when we lived near Kings Cross, so it’s great that they’re still online. Full of neutral tones, their baby and kids collections are very desirable. And there’s also the lovely Bobo Choses who have great pieces too! Plus you know, adding a Candylab in the basket or a bit of homeware is always a lovely additional treat.
RUBY ROE
If you’re wanting to discover some brands under one roof, then Ruby Roe is a great place. I ordered a few pieces from Dear Sophie after being drawn into their funky animal prints and like to pair them with plain sweaters/leggings etc.
LIVLIETO
Another small brand in the way of Livlieto who started out selling leggings. They’ve got a huge variety of patterns from rainbows and leopard to fruits, and sell matching bibs, tshirts and headbands. I’m already eyeing up the lemon tee because it’ll make a cute summer addition!
THE LITTLE NATURAL CO
A baby and toddler concept store, The Little Natural Co stocks some great brands including Konges Sløjd and Organic Zoo. They’ve also got wonderful toys and accessories, including another favourite brand from Mushie (those stacking cups are much loved here!), and ever so soft muslins which I’d recommend.
SISI & SEB
Slightly different but stocking my ultimate number one brand, Liewood, Sisi & Seb are another concept store with some big names and amazing clothes, toys and accessories. We’ve bought a few swimwear bits from them, along with many other things we’ve needed. It’s shops like these that are great for gifts too!
CLAUDE & CO
I’m sure you’ve seen THAT Milking It bodysuit online, and it’s by the wonderful Claude & Co. And as they get older, swap the bodysuit for the adorable oat sweater - plus there’s even the adult version if you’re into matching.
ALEX & ALEXA
I'm not really a designer kinda person so Alex and Alexa wasn’t somewhere I came across straight away, however it has been great for discovering new brands. From them I’ve bought a Mainio one-piece and some Hust & Claire vests. They’ve got amazing deals on big brands if thats your vibe! It’s not my first choice, but it’s a handy one full of many names.
THE BONNIE MOB
We had a rainbow sleepsuit from The Bonnie Mob which lasted us a few months longer so anything that gets a little more wear out of, is a winner in our eyes. They have some really fun and vibrant collections and are definitely going to be joining Otis’ summer wardrobe!
MY LITTLE MONKEY
I remember really struggling to find long sleeved earthy tone tops and that’s when I came across My Little Monkey. I found their sizing to be on the bigger side which for us isn’t ever an issue as we like oversized anyway, so we’re almost getting more wear out of it. They have some lovely basic pieces that’ll last time and time again.
KIDLY
I had to mention Kidly because even though they’re an all round great shop, they do some lovely clothes themselves. We’ve recently bought one of their zip sleepsuits which is great quality, and their basic ribbed tops are super handy for underneath little jumpsuits or as a key top with some funky leggings.
And of course I had to mention some of my top high street places, because as much as I’d love to fully shop small, the bank account for a tiny baby who grows at a rapid pace (well, kinda) can’t always justify it so high street tops us up!
ZARA
I will absolutely put my hand up and say that half of Otis’ wardrobe is from Zara - there’s not anything that I haven’t bought from their mini and baby boy section. A strong winner are the sweaters and also their ribbed baby socks… the only socks that haven’t fallen off (yet ha). Plus there’s always something I can add to my basket from the homeware section…
LINDEX
Lindex are my go to place for leggings (we always have 2/3 pairs of black ones on the go at a time)! I’ve personally found their size to be on the bigger scale (for example, Otis is 6 months and still wearing 2-4 month leggings ha) which means that we get much more wear out of them! They also have great prints in sleepsuits and bodysuits, and their pricing is really reasonable which is another bonus!
H&M
Majority of Otis’ vests are from H&M and we tend to order them in bulk (you can never have too many vests I’ve found). I also like their basic sweaters and accessories!
LA REDOUTE
We actually bought a lot of tiny baby clothes from La Redoute when he was first born as I found their tiny size one of the best, however as he’s getting older, he doesn’t last quite as long in them. I like their different styles, and how their sleepsuits were always thicker than any others but as he learnt to roll, the poppers at the back were becoming a little trickier to do! I’d recommend for the earlier days, or things like coats and jackets.
So there we have it, a not quite small list of places that I’ve shopped and love to support for baby and toddler clothes! I should probably start buying some more clothes for me though now…
